Fall Fun

We have been having so much fun.  We went to the Davis county Fair and Kail got to ride his first pony.  He bairly even needed daddies help.

Kail has fallen in love with Octonauts, a kids TV show, and a specific charicter on this show is Kwazii the pirate cat.  Now Kail loves to leave his shirt on his head and say ARRRR.  He even crooks his index finger like a hook.  He is our funny little pirate boy.
We started off our Halloween fun by going Trick-Or-Treating and the Ogden Dinousar Park. Kail started talking about Halloween MONTHS. He wanted to be a ghost.  We would go to the any store that had any Halloween decorations and he would cry as we left because she had not bought his ghost coustum while in the store.  So the first week in Otober we bought his ghost costum, We thought he would love it maybe even wear it around the house before Halloween.  However, he flat out refused to wear it, not around the house, not to the dinousar park and not on Halloween.  However, he still loved Trick-Or-Treating.  The dinosoars were fun too.

Kail has a real love of dinosars right now espesholy T-Rex.  One of his favorite Daddy activities lately has been riding around the house on Daddies back while Daddy growels like a T-Rex.  I love my boys, they are so cute when they play together.  They even play video games together.  Which involes daddy playing until get "gets shot" and then Kail shooting people while daddy moves the character around the screen for him.

We also got to have a really fun day at the zoo with Aunt JaNae and family.  We got to see elephants, garaffs and snakes.  The carosel was a HUGE hit.  The red panda came right up to the glass to see us, and the polar bear was playful and swimming right in front of us.  It was a really fun day.

So Halloween, Kail spent the day having Halloween parties at "school."  We skiped the paraid this year as Kail refused to wear his costume, mom and dad felt weid having him walk around.  So instead we went home to eat dinner, put out Daddies pumpkins and go out Trick-Or-Treating dressed like we were going sleding.
(As a side note, this is Dillon, Kail's current best friend, because Dillon give sKail half his candy.  Dillon is also a "baby" because he is so much smaller then Kail . . . he also bites)

And finaly one of our favorite family activities lately has been taking trips up to "the land" to check on the building progress.  Grandpa Pace who also likes to make trips up, showed Kail how to through rocks into big watery mud puddles.  Kail LOVES this.  Now that its not so muddy, Kail searches for kitty cats around the site while mom and dad try and imagin what the finished project will look like.  Good parents teach their children to reach for their dreams, so why is it so amazing to see this "insane" dream of ours become a reality.

Daddy's Boys

I'm pretty sure everyone has heard but its official, we are having a boy!  His name is Trigg (middle name still TBA).

We are supper excited that all of the tests have come back showing he is in perfect health, and of course he is measuring big.  Mom can officially say he is a lot more active then Kail was at this point.

Kail is not so sure how he feels about being a big brother, he doesn't like us asking him how he feels about his brother, and will on occasion tell his teachers he is having a sister.

On another note, Kail has always been a Daddies boy (unless he is sleepy and then we need to play with mommies hair) but lately nothing makes him happier then spending time with Daddy.  Whether is demanding we wash a car (I didn't get any pictures but he really did demand we wash Daddy's truck and he then proceeded to spray it with the hose, use the soapy sponge to scrub it and then helped us dry.  But he has now been bragging about cleaning the truck for days) watching Daddy grind and repaint the truck hood (which according to Kail was "really load" and "smelled really bad") or play ball with him in the back yard, he just can't get enough of Daddy.

Our favorite toy is still our "water truck" he loves them and if he finds one in the store he HAS to have it, which means mommy avoids the toy aisle so as not to have to drag him from the store in tears.

And finally while, sleeping in our Big Boy bed is working out well (we have only fallen out a couple of times).
Potty training . . . even with the Elmo potty seat mommy was SO proud of . . . is not going so well. We will keep trying.

On a very important side note: We are so excited to welcome Little Maren into the family!  At 9.9 lbs we are grateful both her and JaNae are doing well.

Family

Grandpa and Grandma Pace threw an amazing family reunion.  We all had so much fun.  Mommy does regret that we didn't get a family picture to show how many of us there are and she wishes she had gotten more pictures but we were just having too much fun.

Grandpa and Grandma took us all bowling at the University of Utah.  And we were so excited because this time Kail actually wanted to bowl instead of just run around.

They took us all to the Living Planet Aquarium.  Kail LOVES fish.  He has to go into the "big kids" room at daycare to see the fish every morning so this was a huge treat.

We have never seen the butterflies before, they were a very cool addition.

We also got to go swimming at the neighborhood pool.  And we got to get McDonalds for lunch and play in the play zone. Sadly mommy didn't get pictures of these because she was having too much fun swimming and eating.

And we got to play with all our cousins, and eat A LOT of Popsicles.

The girls made sure to include Kail in their gummy bear pick-nick.  Mommy found them all giggling in the downstairs bedroom.

The adults got to play lots of chess.  Grandpa beat mommy and daddy but mommy did beat her sister Michele.

We got to eat Grandpa's yummy pancakes.  On his first day back to daycare Kail kept asking if I was driving to Grandpa's house.  He wanted pancakes again.

And of course its not a Pace family reunion with out a Royal Loyal Weenie Roast.
Complete with great Grandma Pace.

We had so much fun and can't thank Grandma & Grandpa Pace enough for all they do for us and what a great example they are of what a family should be.

Mommy, Daddy and Kail went to a car show up at Eagle Wood Golf course.  Kail was not interest in the cars, mostly because he is not allowed to touch them, but he WAS allowed to touch the "Water Truck" (its not a Fire truck, it carries water not fire).  And the ambulance and the helicopter.  He was on cloud 9.  I tried to get him to say "Cheese" while touching them, but he just kept saying it TO the vehicle so mommy could not get his face.

Then Uncle Nate, Aunt JaNae and cousin Nora came for a visit.
Kail loved Aunt JaNae reading to him.  and of course we had to make a trip to the splash pad.

And this is just here because its one of the few shots I've gotten of the two of us I actually like.
