Potty training was actually pretty amazing to watch. In total we may have had 3 accidents, and none of those were in his bed which was a huge relief to mom. We got puppy pads to put on the couch and didn't end up using any of them. Daddy told Kail he could get a Black Jeep he could drive if he would use the potty and that was it, he was potty trained. The first day we sat him on the toilet every few minutes. He got really very annoyed at this. By day three as he had not had an accident yet, we decided to just wait and see if he would tell us when he needed to go. . . and he did. I've been trying to get him more hydrated because the kid can go hours without seeming to need to go but no matter how much he drinks he hasn't had a problem. He had one accident at the store but he stopped himself from really making a mess until he could walk to the bathroom. He had another when he didn't realize that jumping a lot may cause you to leek but again, he didn't finish until he was on the toilet. He does sometimes use it to get attention. If I've spent too much time with Trigg all of a sudden Kail "has some pee". We have been SO proud. And yes he got his black jeep and even helped us put it together. For the first few weeks EVERY time he used the toilet he asked where his jeep was. The saddest part was when we finished putting it together and Kail couldn't drive it because we had to charge the battery first. The funniest thing to mommy is that he was SO excited to drive it but now just has daddy drive him around with the remote control and Kail goes for a ride. They go on walks around the gully or even over to the grocery store to pick up a treat. Mommy thinks they are so cute together.
Trigg is so patient with us. When Kail was this small mom and dad were able to lavish him with attention. Trigg has to share the attention with Kail and us trying to get the business up and running. Yet he rarely fusses. No purple crying, he loves to lay on the floor and kick the post to make his dragon wiggle, and as soon as he figured out he could do this he started smiling, laughing and talking to his dragon. Although we had problems at first he now eats like a champ. And best of all he sleeps like a champ. At just under 2 months Trigg started only waking up once a night, he eats and goes right back to sleep. He also started letting mommy put him down for an afternoon nap which allows mommy to continue putting down Kail for his afternoon nap too. Both Kail and mommy were worried we would have to stop our cuddle time before nap because it was just too hard for Kail to go to sleep with Trigg in the room but we have all figured out enough of a routine that both boys get there cuddles in before at least an hour nap. They do like to tag team mommy and daddy though so as soon as one is asleep the other is awake. And unfortunately now that daddy is home all the time instead of mommy nap has become even more difficult as Kail still requires time petting mommies hair if we want him to go down quickly. Trigg is the slimiest baby though, he is just happy 90% of the time, which has been a huge blessing as with everything else going on right now I'm not sure how we would have handled a difficult baby.
