Baby Trigg
Mom was hesitant about having Trigg's Baby photo's taken at our house. Kail's baby shoot lasted about an hour. Trigg's was more like 3-4 and I LOVE the shots she got.

Christmas 2018
Christmas this year was obviously a crazy rush. Kail actually understands presents this year so thankfully there was no issues with mom and dad making "a mess" and not being allowed to open presents like last year. On Christmas eve we made a visit to the pediatrician for Trigg's first check up after the hospital. Unfortunately despite his low risk for jaundice in the hospital, Trigg had a high bilirubin count and we had to put him on a light table at home. So Trigg spent Christmas on a light table. Personally I thought Kail and Daddy were adorable opening gifts together. Santa brought Kail Candy Canes just like he asked for and toy for his cars that thankfully mom and dad don't have to take apart and build again every time he wants to play with it. He particularly likes to "fix flat tires" and put his cars "through the car wash". And Daddy knocked it out of the park with Kails new Octonaut toys which included a spyglass like Kwazzi's. Mommy and Daddy had a pretty decent Christmas too. This was the first year we just stayed home and let Kail play with his presents all day. Growing up Mom's family would spend Christmas day in the basement playing video games and whatnot so it really felt like Christmas watching Daddy and Kail play video games together.

Trigg Loyal Mitton
We were very excited to meet Trigg Loyal Mitton. He was born on December 20th 2018. 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 in long. For weeks the Dr kept telling us we would not make it to our induction date, but of course we did.
So that morning, we dropped Kail off at daycare for his very last day at 6:45 AM. Grandpa Pace picked Kail up from daycare around 3:30 that afternoon and Kail spent his first night away from mom and dad. Which of course had mom and dad very nervous. Kail still struggles with sleeping sometimes and we were worried that would be difficult for both Kail and the grandparents. But minus some difficulty falling asleep that night, Kail had a great time playing with "Papa" and Grandma.
In the mean time. Dad dropped Mom off at the hospital to get things started and then ran up to Grandma & Grandpa's house to drop off all of Kails stuff for the night. Mom got checked in and they started hooking up the machines. Dad arrived at the hospital just in time to have Mom get her IV, which for some reason hurt really bad going in but felt fine after about 30 min. At 8:15 they broke Mom's water, which actually took two tries as Trigg's head was in the way. Then at 8:30 they started the Pitocin. Mom was doing OK managing the pain until about 11:15. At that point she asked for the epidural. Waiting the half hour for the epidural we learned that Mom has an uncontrollable habit of apologizing when she is in a lot of pain. I literally could not stop saying "I"m sorry". As we had started at a 4 and 70% effaced Jordan asked the nurse if they should check me, but they wanted to wait until after I got the epidural. So they got the epidural in and Mom was waiting for it to really kick in when they checked our progress. Turns out we really didn't need the epidural, what we needed to to was just have the baby. Mom was at a 10 and fully effaced and if I'm honest I kept telling them there was a LOT Of pressure and I probably could have had the baby 30-40 min earlier if they had just had me start pushing. So the epidural kicked in about 11:55, we started pushing at 12:00 and Trigg was born at 12:11. And luckily for us due to Mom's history of hemorrhaging, once mom started bleeding too much the Dr just gave her a drug to stop it right away, so no need for a blood transfusion this time. However, Trigg was very purple. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and then again around his chest, so they had to do some work to get him to pink up. Which means mom was up and moving once the unnecessary epidural had worn off. Mom stayed REALLY dizzy for the next day or so due to the drugs but other then that was doing really well. And then later that first day, he vomited amniotic fluid and turned purple very fast, giving his poor parents a heart attack. The suctioned him out and everything was fine although Trigg has remained very spitty and gassy.
Dad stayed in the hospital the first night and until about 6:00 PM the next day but mom and dad decided that both Dad and Kail could use a good night sleep before "Baby Trigg" came home to stay. Sadly that night Trigg decided he no longer wanted to nurse. He didn't want to eat at all actually so we ended up with some very low blood sugar readings and the pediatrician at the hospital did not want to release him from the hospital with mom. So we gave up on nursing and gave him a bottle and then argued with the hospital to release him with mom as his blood sugar was now up to normal. So we all got to go home on Saturday December 22nd just in time for Christmas.
