So Proud
Usually my posts are about activities and events but this one is just about my special little boy and why his mom and dad are so very proud of him.
The other day we were sitting at the table for dinner. Kail was done and asked to be let down from the table. Jordan and I were still eating so we let him down to go watch TV. Instead, as soon as his feet hit the floor he looked over in the corner and noticed that the cats had dropped some of their food on the floor.
Kail: " OH NO, Kitty. Mess.
Mommy: Yep the kitties made a mess, don't worry I'll clean it up after dinner. Go watch TV.
Kail: Mess, mess, mess
Kail then proceeds to walk to our pantry and get the broom out. He walks back to the table and asks me to remove the dust pan from the broom, he does this by handing it to me and saying "please". Then he tried to sweep up the "mess". When he realized it wasn't working, he took the dustpan and proceeded to pick up the cat food and put it in the dustpan. He then walked ever so slowly to the garbage can and emptied the dust pan into it. He asked me to put the dustpan back on the broom, again with a "please" and then went and put it back in the pantry.
The entire time, three thoughts were going through my head. "Look at my little two year old deciding to help clean up the house instead of watch his favorite TV show." "He really is his fathers son, and can't stand things messy." And of course the final thought proving mom probably worries too much. "It is kind of odd how much he hates messes . . .. could he actually have OCD?"
In any case we could not be more proud of our little helper.

Two
Kail had a great Birthday. Star Wars and Monster Theamed. We kept it low key this year, just ice cream cake and family that could drop by. We are not really sure how, but Kail already knew how to blow out his candels, he even waited until after the song.
After everyon left we set out to play with our new toys.
And of course the decorations had to stay up for a few days.
On Monday which was Kail's actual birthday. Mommy and Daddy took Kail to the aquarium in Layton. Kail loves fish and demands to go in his Daycare directors office to see her fish so we thought this would be fun for him. We were right.
Daddy showed Kail how to do a rubbing.
Daddies favorite were the fish that eat the dead skin off your hands.
And we finish the visit off with a cheese sample and car ride.

Halloween
Kail discovered a love of Halloween this year. Our brave little boy loves Halloween decorations, espesholy the scary ones. He is truly his parents child. He loved our giant bat, which scares older children. And claps for our screeming banshie to scream again. And when we walk down a halloween docoration isle at a store he pretends to be scared but he has a big grin on his face.
Just like last year he didn't love wearing his costum, until he discovered that wearing it meant he got candy. We started the festivities at our ward Trunk-or-Treat. It didn't take long for Kail to learn that if he said "Tit-o-Tet" and "Bye" he got him more candy.

On Halloween itself, Mom and Dad got to go to the Kid Care Paraid.
And then Jordan carved an awsome pumpkin.
And took Kail Trick-Or-Treating, while Mom sat on the steps to hand out candy.

Fall Fun
We have had a lot of fun lately. It started with Grandpa Pace's 68th birthday party.
Kail continues to make new friends at school. Two of
the girls in the room he gets dropped off in, have taken it upon themselves to
be his big sisters. They make sure no one else takes his cookies in the
morning. As you can tell he adores them.
Ricker is the grandson of the director. He is teaching Kail lots of fun new things, like how to shake hands.
We decided to go to the Cross E Ranch for their Fall Festival. Kail was probably a little young for the corn maze but once we got him a wagon to ride in he had a lot of fun. He loved playing with their tractors as well.
Kail is starting to enjoy nursery and
is finally starting to participate. We found that giving him a snack
before nursery helps the transition. Plus his new teacher had the bright
idea to have the bubble blower going when the kids get dropped off and now the
kids don't even notice when the parents leave.
Going to the park is
still one of Kail’s favorite activates. He is really getting good at
climbing.
Unfortunately we
cannot go as often as the weather is starting to get really cold.
